While replacing exterior prv, water main broke and water had to be turned off to the community. Necessary repairs were made to get water turned back on. RESOLUTION : Replaced short section of poly with 3/4 pex and replaced exterior prv. Water has been restored to check repairs. At this time there are no further leaks, drips or concerns. CUSTOMER STATED : Would like an annual inspection of the home to check for polybutylene piping. TECHNICIAN NOTES : Out today to a vacant property to check for polybutylene piping for the customer’s interest in purchasing the home. While on site found only a small section of active 3/4 polybutylene piping located in the utility closet of the home. Building has an exterior pressure regulating valve controlling 4 units. Building water pressure is currently 40 PSI. Customer is interested in putting her own prv in utility closet but recommended for her to contact the community’s HOA regarding the failed exterior prv. Customer wants estimates to remove small section of 3/4 polybutylene with 3/4 pex, to add a prv for unit 82, and a price to forward to the hoa to replace exterior prv located in meter box.
